Time 2 Move Holiday Programme

March 7, 2025

The Rock Pool Project had the pleasure of hosting a series of engaging rock pooling events in Falmouth as part of Active Cornwall's Time 2 Move programme. These sessions offered children aged 5 to 16 an opportunity to explore the fascinating marine life along Falmouth's rocky shores, fostering a deeper connection with our coastal environment.

Programme Highlights:

  • Interactive Rock Pooling: Participants delved into the rich biodiversity of Falmouth's beaches, discovering various marine species and learning about their habitats.
  • Educational Activities: Each child received a rock pool-themed activity booklet, enhancing their learning experience through fun and informative tasks.
  • Physical Exercise: An hour of structured physical activity was incorporated into each session, promoting health and well-being alongside environmental education.
  • Nutritious Meals: Thanks to the support of Princess Pavilion, attendees enjoyed delicious and healthy lunches, ensuring they were energized for their coastal adventures.

Reflecting on these enriching sessions, we're filled with gratitude for the curiosity and enthusiasm displayed by all participants. The success of the Time 2 Move programme reinforced our belief in the importance of connecting young minds with nature, fostering both education and a lifelong appreciation for our marine environment.

We eagerly anticipate future opportunities to inspire and engage with our community, continuing our mission to explore, educate, and conserve.
